What is Pathway mapping
One of the greatest aspects of Rugby Union is that it is one of the truly global games, with the Rugby World Cup still considered one of the biggest sporting events when it is held every 4 years.
There are however, many different pathways, today’s young rugby players can take to making their Wallabies, Wallaroos or Aussie 7s debuts – and that is where Rugby Pathways can help.
Rugby Pathways works with emerging rugby players, boys & girls, from the age of 12 – 18 to determine the following:
- Skills Report
- Rugby Goals
- Life Goals
- Playing History
- Playing Position PreferencesÂ
- Rugby Strengths
- Rugby Weaknesses
Once I have all this information we can sit down and determine the best options going forward for each individual player. Everyone’s situation is different and we take a very holistic approach to helping our players discover their Rugby Pathway.
It is hoped one day the Rugby Pathways Hall of Fame photo will include players that have smashed their rugby goals and are ecstatic with holding high their club premiership and next to players proudly wearing their state or national jersey singing the national anthem loudly.

Pathway Mapping can help all rugby players no matter their experience level or rugby goals – sometimes it is the simple conversation of discussing what they want to achieve that can unlock passion and dedication that hasn’t necessarily always been present.
